DR. G × Nectar — Styling and Artistic Photoshoot

Nectar collaborated with DR. G to create a dedicated photoshoot focused on his artistic image. The project was carried out by a small and complementary team: Côme Thiéry as project manager, Maxime Rahier overseeing design and styling, and DANIIL behind the camera. The shoot took place in a studio in Brussels, near the Schuman district.

Building a visual foundation

The intention was to create a strong and versatile visual base, giving DR. G several stylistic identities he could activate depending on the context. Instead of settling on a single fixed look, the project explored five distinct silhouettes. Each one corresponded to a different musical energy, a different type of stage, and a different era of inspiration, from 90s influences to early 2000s and Y2K aesthetics.

This approach allowed the artist to choose consciously how he wanted to appear. A more 90s‑leaning date, a classic rave or techno setting, or a harder, more futuristic Y2K direction. Each silhouette became a tool he could use to match the atmosphere of the moment.

A collaborative creative process

The project unfolded as a genuine team effort, shaped by the dialogue between styling, photography, and the artist’s own presence.

On the styling side, five complete outfits were created, each with its own intention and reading. The silhouettes drew from 90s and 2000s references, always keeping coherence between clothing, music, and stage posture.

The collaboration with the photographer played a central role. The team worked closely to adapt the outfits to the light, the framing, and the visual narrative of the shoot. Every look was adjusted to ensure it translated well on camera.

During the session, DR. G was guided through poses, expressions, and attitudes. Attention was given to the smallest details: the placement of garments, the balance of the silhouettes, the clarity of the visual message. The goal was not only to capture images, but to capture presence.

Alongside the shoot, a few garments were provided to DR. G for future dates. There was no long‑term styling follow‑up attached to this part of the project. The core focus remained the visual capsule created during the photoshoot.

A modular visual library

The shoot resulted in a coherent and flexible image library, giving DR. G real freedom in how he communicates. The five distinct styles allow him to adapt his visual identity to his sets, choose images that match the musical context, and reinforce the connection between his sound and his appearance.

A strategic approach to image

The project reflects a vision of styling as an artistic communication tool. The images were created with long‑term use in mind, ready to serve across social media, press kits, and professional communication. It is a body of work designed to evolve with the artist, offering multiple identities without locking him into a single one.
